Working out of Brooklyn, NY, Matthew Hassell is an avid painter and independent art critic. He earned a BFA from University of Connecticut before completing his MFA at Pratt Institute. His evenings are spent viewing art while his days are busy painting and writing reviews of work he has seen. Matthew's writing has appeared in NY Arts Magazine, NYC ArtParasites, Idiom, and is self-published in his own personal blog titled Fragments and Reconstructions.
